About us

Made by an instructor, for instructors.

Instructor Office is made in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. It started with one question: why does the admin of teaching people to drive take so much typing?

Clayton Robinson is an Approved Driving Instructor. Like most instructors, he spent his evenings writing up lessons, chasing who had paid and answering “where are you?” messages, using apps that cost more each year and still made him type everything twice.

So, with his business partner Tony Mihill, he built the app he wanted: one that listens to a debrief and writes it up, tells a pupil you are on the way without a text, and works the same on a phone, a laptop, an Apple Watch and a car’s screen. Then they priced it so that every instructor gets the whole app, AI included, for £10 + VAT.

What we believe

  • One simple plan. The whole app, with all the AI, for £12 a month including VAT. No add-ons, no commission on your lessons.
  • Your data is yours. Download it whenever you like, in files you can open. If you leave, you take it with you.
  • Plain English and big buttons. Built to be used in a car park, by people who would rather be teaching.
  • AI that helps, never decides. Everything the AI writes is shown to you first.
  • Privacy first. Pupils never see each other’s names, and your location is only shared when you choose, and only once you are close.
  • Real people. When you contact us, you talk to the people who build it.
